CSCs’ SUPER club nights are a fun get together of people across the club from those just starting out to the top team players. It is run in a way that everyone, irrelevant of standard, will get great games and have a fantastic time.

We will run our annual raffle and there will be prizes for winning teams/individuals.

We will split everyone into teams to ensure an equal standard and then we run a series of different games between the teams. Where there are discrepancies in standards we may even handicap some players!

Thanks to all those that came to our team trails, a lot of new players have now joined our squads! The team matches have now started and we were out in force last week with the 3 men’s teams all playing.

The 1st team had a narrow 3-2 win over Swavesey with good wins from Dave Champion, newcomer Cameron Gibb and Ali Dawson. The 2nds lost 1-4 to Hunts County 2, with the only win from Adam Prosser. Our 3rds took a close over win 3-2 over Hunts County 3 with Ben Knappet, James Buckley and Gift Nuka all winning in very close matches. If anyone is interested in playing team squash please email alistair_dawson@hotmail.com.

Everyone is welcome to watch our home matches which are played at Churchill college, this week our 1st (Wednesday) and 2nd  (Tuesday) team are playing at home, all match start at 7:30pm but go on to around 9:30pm. There is free parking on site and the courts are the first building on the left as you go down Churchill road, you might need to knock on the door to get access.

Handicap competition

  • November 1, 2023November 1, 2024
  • by admin

Dear Players,

On Saturday 25th March Cambridge Squash Club will be hosting a handicap competition at the University Sports Centre from 14:00-17:00.

This will be a tournament format where every player starts with a set point advantage or disadvantage so anyone can win this competition.

Hence we are looking for between 16-32+ players to play and everyone will be guaranteed at least 3 matches.

Ideally we will have 2 handicap competitions depending on the number of entrants:-

  • Handicap A (for Uni leagues 1-9, Swavesey leagues 1-6 )
Handicap B (for Uni leagues 10-17, Swavesey leagues 7-15)

That’s about it, this is a fun event open to all players of all standards with handicaps given to ensure that everyone gets great competitive games with players you may not get the opportunity to play against. Obviously prizes for the winners/runners up etc.

Please confirm your attendance asap to (alistair_dawson@hotmail.com) if you can make it so we can get it organised accordingly.

Lets keep the CSC vibe going – don’t miss out!
