Cambridge Squash Club Suspended - COVID-19

By Joseph Reeds

Dear Squash Club Members,

On hearing the latest advice on COVID-19 from the government to limit social interactions and in line with England Squash guidelines the club is taking the unfortunate but necessary measure to suspend all leagues, team matches, training and tournaments until further notice. Please see below for more information:

If you play league matches in the coming days or have results to put in please do so but we will not rotate the leagues at the end of this month. When restrictions are lifted we will allow a full month of play for the current leagues.

Cambridge Squash Club Closed Tournament
We will reschedule the tournament once restrictions have been lifted. We will assume all entrants remain valid.

Team & Cup Matches
All team and cup matches have been cancelled by the county committee, current standings will likely be used to determine end of season positions.

Junior Coaching
All junior coaching is suspended until further notice.

Sports Centre Opening
The University Sports Centre is maintaining up to date information with regards to its COVID-19 response on its website at We strongly recommend you check this before travelling to the sports centre.

What am I supposed to do if I can't play squash?
We are not entirely sure...the best we can suggest is catching up on some of the latest squash tournaments on youtube or the PSA TV. There are also some great tips at squash skills. Remember to still exercise anyway you can.

We, the committee, wish all the players and their families all the very best in health and hope we can all get back playing squash soon. We will keep you informed on any developments.

Best Regards
Cambridge Squash Club Committee
